This was a decently-written book with a great premise that wore down in the end. Towards the end, the plot was a little ridiculous. A certain reunion in particular.

One thing to take from this...

Scorched Earth is not fiction.

Very readable. Looked forward to diving into Dinah’s world. Almost like alternative history rather than untold stories.

Initial reaction - the way this book portrayed womanhood made me feel connected to women throughout history and just hit me very deeply. And the writing was very powerful!
