Just when you think this British romance may not be for you, in walks a Mr. Darcy-type character and you’re hooked. Richard and Lainie are actors in the same play. Richard’s popularity is declining because of his real life snarky, sarcastic attitude. The play organizers decide to set up a fake romance between the two in hopes of raising Richard’s ratings. One thing leads to another and the fake romance turns into the real thing.

A star of a West End play is asked to pretend a relationship with one of her co-stars to improve his reputation and boost ticket sales. The results are fairly easy to guess but the dialogue is funny and the story is fun to read.

4.5 stars. I've been waiting to read this one for a while and it did not disappoint. I love a good witty banter and this scratched that itch for me. It was the perfect easy breezy chick-flick read that I consumed in one sitting and kept me smiling throughout.
