Really good book, I havent been this gripped to a book in so long!
Really raw and realistic story of growing up gay in working class Glasgow. Would recommend listening to the audiobook to add to the experience.

This was a bit mawkish, in places, and very dark in others. The descriptions of nature were gorgeous.

Absolutely heartbreaking and upsetting despite the wonderful writing. Read the trigger warnings, violent and terrible with small bits of beauty. I’m still processing how I feel about this book. It did rattle me and move me.
