I really connected with the narator of the book. The feelings around endless hen-dos and thoughts about whether to have children really resonated with me and were discussed in a different way than I've read before.

An excellent novel on memory, love, and presence. I felt like I knew every character on the page so intimately, and hated/loved/pitied/rooted for each one.

Reading Ghosts felt like experiencing an existential crisis. I enjoyed some of the relationships in the story - especially Nina and Lola's friendship - but the characters felt overwhelmingly jaded. I can't fault the book for feeling like a very 'real' portrayal of life, expectations and growth. However as a story it was exhausting to read.
