Absolutely gorgeous and gut-wrenching. The prose is amazing and the descriptions are unique and captivating. It tells the story of a pair of twins and their life through alternating timelines as they deal with grief and trauma on the backdrop of their country’s political unrest. Often uncomfortable to read but has one of the most beautifully heartbreaking tales of love I’ve ever read.

Some of the most beautiful prose I have ever read, it adds to the beauty and pain of a story which winds around itself to a tragedy you knew would happen, and allows the real tears to flow from the aftermath.
