Almost every single thing you do involves the use of your limbs. So can you imagine living a life without a single arm or leg?
Nick Vujicic, through his incredible life story, teaches us how blessed we are. He was born with tetra-amelia syndrome, a rare disorder characterized by the absence of arms and legs. The book chronicles his journey from being a determined baby and a depressed teen earlier to the strong motivational speaker of today. He also highlights the role of his parents and God in helping him be what he is today.
This book is certainly not among the best books I've read; it seems to go rather back and forth sometimes in its narrative and is a bit too religious for my comfort. In spite of these (minor) shortcomings, I found myself hooked on to the story of this man. It does cause you to question the severity of your life problems when faced with a person living his life to the fullest without a single limb!
The book is full of wonderful motivational quotes and anecdotes that can cause you to start taking affirmative action towards changing your outer life by changing your inner self. Give this book a shot not just if you want to bring about changes in your life but also if you want to learn how God can give strength to a human being to go beyond the supposedly insurmountable. As Nick Vujicic himself says in his book,
"Once you accept that perfection is just a goal, screwing up isn't so hard to handle. Each misstep is still a step, another lesson learned, another opportunity to get it right the next time."

What an awesome young man and a great book! Nick Vujicic is an inspiration to all ages and all walks of life. He was born without arms and legs, but has to be one of the most upbeat and happy people on earth. He dwells on what he has and CAN do instead of having a pity party and inviting everyone to it! He travels the world speaking to groups to spread his faith and his contagious cheerleading to make others lives better. There are many videos of him on Youtube and he has written other books. He is well read and mentions other books and people that have been wonderful role models for him. Since he wrote this book he has married, has one child and another on the way. He NEVER says I can't!

This was such an inspirational and encouraging book from a renowned motivational speaker! Nick has so many good tips and tricks to help keep a positive outlook on life and pick yourself up when life gets you down. It’s sprinkled with anecdotes from his own personal journey, which are unique and interesting but still very applicable and relatable!
