i was cringing the entire time i read this
end part kind of felt like a fever-dream. felt like it was a 2.75 star read for the first 75%. then the last 15% gets crazy and then the end is somewhat interesting ig sorta?
not my cup of tea though, nothing super new that it’s saying. felt like much more of an amateur work. hard to believe yellowface and babel have the same author.

I don’t know how I feel about this book. I was excited to read it because of the hype, which set me up for mismatched expectations. The main character was annoying and self indulgent and shortsighted. Ugh. Glad Ive finally read this as it was on my list for a long long time.
