Read for the first time this year - loved it. Makes me dearly miss playing DND.
Our three D&D adventurers’ are now called upon to go to a floating magical laboratory to collect a Philospher’s Stone that is turning the lab into crystal, and they have to get the Stone before it does the same to the whole world. There are robots involved, as well as necromancy and a grim reaper.
This continues to be an interesting adventure, filled with D&D humor. However, they are getting to the point that they are referencing previous volumes a lot, and honestly, it’s been so long since I read them I didn’t remember the references and was just confused by them. I might wait until the whole series is out before continuing, so that I can read it all in one go.

Re-read Nov 2024: Still enjoyed. Much better having read the previous volumes recently, so I got more of the references, but still very average.

Let me make clear that the only reason I'm giving this four and not five stars is the fact that the plot deviates from the podcast, cutting some scenes entirely. I know why; the level of work put into these novels makes it hard to include every single detail.
I still really enjoyed the graphic novel, though!
