Okay so OF COURSE this was brilliant but i do think it would have been stronger if they had focused more on merle's pan arc.... he just needed more being confused and lost between the Incident and the Climax. also the fact that "hot diggity shit that is a baller cookie" was not in here?? literally a hate crime idek. 4.5 rounding down to four >:)

The Crystal Kingdom is such a fun arc of this podcast to listen to. Partly because it takes place canonically on Candlenights, and the arc takes so long that I believe it was summer before it was finished. Which was just funny to me.
It was so fun to see some of my favorite scenes in color on the page. Like the little buddy bot and the fight with Kravitz and Legion.
This is the arc where a lot of heavy stuff got introduced, and where we start to see that some of the things the boys have done had very real consequences. It's just such a great installment and I am super psyched to get to the next volume, my favorite arc, The Eleventh Hour.

The first three books were fun and quick reads, but this is the first volume that actually has me invested in the characters. I'm seriously considering listening to the podcast even though listening to actual plays is just so hard for me.
