This was pretty decent, especially as i’ve never read a Green Lantern comic and I tend to hate stories based in space.

'Hal Jordan & The Green Lantern Corps, Volume 1: Sinestro's Law' by writer Robert Venditti. There are things that have led up to this issue, so if you aren't up to date, then this might not be the place to start.
Hal Jordan is alone and everything is wrong. The Green Lantern Corps is gone. His ring is gone. What is not gone is Sinestro and his own Corps. In their yellow uniforms they feed on fear and protect Sinestro's war planet.
Hal finds a way to get a ring, and remnants of the Green Lantern Corps limp back. Guy Gardner is sent on a recon mission and in typical Guy Gardner fashion stands up to Sinestro's goons. Hal finds help in unexpected places.
It's a big sprawling space epic of a story. There are lots of space battles and grit.. The Green Lantern Corps is definitely outnumbered and possibly outgunned, but they make a fight of it.
I liked the story and the art. I haven't always been the biggest fan of Green Lantern, but the stories I've read lately have been pretty good.
I received a review copy of this graphic novel from DC Entertainment and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this graphic novel.

As a Rebirth Issue 1 this is hopeless.
I don't have the first clue as to what's going on. The artwork's pretty but consists almost entirely of yellow objects hitting green objects. I've no idea why.

Hal Jordan takes on the Sinestro Corps as the rest of the GLC makes their way back from the universe before our universe. Hal is great, everyone is great, the art is great. My only complaint is that Kyle was only on like two pages of this whole book.

3.5 - The beginning of the book brings up too much that isn’t understandable if you haven’t read other books, and it makes it feel really slow and slug to read through. Later on in the plot, it flows better and it feels more enjoyable.

Mostly boring, but Guy Gardener was pretty great in this one. Hal basically always expecting to go down in a blaze of glory is kind of just... eyeroll material.

Following up the unexpected events of New 52's Green Lantern, this is a thrilling, engaging step in a new direction.

Pleasantly surprised with this one.
Admittedly I've never read Green Lantern before but with Marvel putting out such crap these days I thought I'd give it a chance.
This is the first volume of Hal Jordan and the Corps after DC's Rebirth.
A nice long story about the return of the Green Lanterns and their battle with the Sinestro Corps.
The art was amazing, the plot was engaging and moved along at a nice clip.
I'll be continuing to read this going forward for as long as the quality stays this high.
