CUTEST BOOK I HAVE EVER READ.

It was Mara Dyer meets Rules in the best possible way. Everything I loved with a great passion and there was nothing I didn't. This is a book you can get wrapped up in and I am so happy that I finally got to read it.

This was fine, but kind of a disappointment after how much I loved her other book, Eliza and Her Monsters. Will definitely still give whatever book she publishes next a go.

I’ll write a full review later, but before I forget, the chapters had a cute little drawing of lobsters on the first page. They only had eight legs and the misrepresentation of those glorious decapods really bothered me

Cute story. I definitely didn’t see one of the twists in it coming, which is rare for me. overall it was good! I don’t think im extremely impressed though which is why i gave it 3 stars.

I have waited so long for a YA book in which a main character had mental health issues that I thought the day would never come. Oh, there have been a few out there, but they reeked so strongly with an "After School Special" vibe that I couldn't enjoy them. There have also been a couple of well done novels about depression on the scene, but they're overwhelmingly heavy in the feelings department.
Made You Up, however, gives me renewed hope. It's the story of a high school girl who suffers from paranoia and schizophrenia. Her inability to distinguish the difference between reality and hallucination is, perhaps, the best use of an unreliable narrator that I've ever read.
The book is so well written: perfect comedic moments keep the intensity of the situation from crushing the reader emotionally, as do the tender little nuggets of (non-cheesy) romance sprinkled throughout. There are some beautiful tidbits of true friendship and some rather heinous parenting acts described. Finally, there is a twist I didn't see coming that broke my heart just a little.
Most of all, this is a book filled with examples of raw courage and determination that, without preaching a word, made me a better person simply by enjoying the author's story. How many YA novels can say that?

The story stared off good in part 1 and part 2. But just went down hill during the last part of the book.

This book wasn't my favorite. The writing was good, but the main character was hard to connect with, and overall I felt like she was just a description of schizophrenia with a name. The ending was frustrating to me too. I was really looking forward to this book, but was disappointed overall.

Made you up

Not quite what I'd expected going into this book, and the few plot twist you can see coming from a mile away. But the two main characters are loveable and I got a lot of laughs from it! Definitely a must read
