Let me start by saying vacation reads tend to get higher reviews from me, I get excited and read a book in a day and then I feel that the book was greater than it was. However I'm sticking with my review because it made me feel how it felt when I read it!
Freida tends to be predictable and disappointing to me. This book wasn't predictable, even if it was poorly written in many spots, I will still say I enjoyed it.
We have Tricia and Ethan stuck in a mansion (Dr. Adrienne's old home) during a snow storm. Ethan is painted as questionable from the start, very leading.
As Tricia finds the tapes and begins to listen to a few of the sessions we have EJ, you would not have been able to convince me that EJ and Ethan were not one in the same.
We have a few filler tapes as well, I don't recall their names but I think we have Patricia and an older lady who thinks everyone from her son to her pharmacist is trying to kill her.
As our story progresses we have the creepy home, the weird nonchalant actions of Ethan and the possibility that someone else is in the home, creep factor is quite high and you are fearing for Tricia's safety throughout this story.
As the truth emerges and our story comes to an end, you might have mixed reviews, I didn't see it coming, therefore I say 4 stars. Enjoyable vacation read!
