This book was a wild ride that kept me entertained from start to finish. Full of millionaires and drama, it gave off a bit of Gossip Girl vibes. I wasn’t sure unsure of how to feel about the main characters in the beginning but found myself rooting for them by the end.

Two years ago, Walker suddenly left behind her luxury life and best friends without a notice. Although she swore she would never return, she is forced back to her hometown so she can finish her dissertation and graduate from Oxford. She hopes to avoid the friends she abandoned but she needs a local to access the library. Now she's stuck side by side with Heath, the man who ripped her heart to shreds and forced her abrupt exodus. Their close proximity reminds her of the good times and has her reconsidering their future. Will things be different this time or will he break her heart again?
Walker and Heath had great chemistry but I think their conflict was too simple. The basis of this story largely revolves around petty drama and miscommunication that ended up being resolved way too easily. Some conflicts brought up didn't seem to have lasting impacts on the overall storyline - such as the whole professor situation. I really liked the aspect of a revenge poker game and it was definitely the best aspect of this story and kept me intrigued. I will be giving the next book a chance and interested to see where it goes - especially since all of Walker's friends were shown as just super entitled and bratty rich kids.

This was the book I didn't know I needed to read it was so great. Revenge is served up so perfectly when you know the plot beforehand to undermine yourself. This story is filled with relationships, heartache, heartbreak, remorse and friendship. I would thoroughly recommend this book and can't wait for the next in this series.

I could not put this book down. I felt so bad for heath at first and then I hated him and then I loved him again. The group definitely gives you gossip girl vibes. As I’m reading all I see is Serena, chuck bass, and Blaire. Definitely a good story and highly recommend!

Very Gossip Girl. High society, revenge plots, betrayal, sex, alcohol, frenemies, and studying. Some of these characters seem like awful people but they are loyal to the people they care about. The FMC is kinda annoying at times. Overall I liked it.
