WOW this was absolutely fantastic. The plot was woven together SO carefully and meticulously but I didn't get too lost and it didn't get boring or drawn out. LOVE the late reveal of an unreliable narrator, had me questioning EVERYTHING and with each reveal at the end my jaw was on the FLOOR but it all still seemed believable imo. Obviously not once I reached the end but I was rooting for Red and Archie bc I'm a hopeless romantic I suppose. But I love old magic so this was just fabulous and at no point did it feel too long- it felt like it was on the precipice of conclusion almost the whole time, but I am glad that it kept going because I loved every SECOND OF IT.

Very entertaining from about a third of a book. Having read Daughters of Night before this, it was competing with a better story, hence the lower rating.
The plot wasn’t very convincing, but I found it easy to read nonetheless.

I was surprised!!! I thought as soon as the main character started to piece together clues about her past and her family, we’d just roll with it and see where it takes her on these adventures. But more surprises came up that I greatly appreciated because they worked well with these mysterious clues. The last few chapters were my favorite.
