it’s good, it’s okay cisneros’ writing is strong and poignant. i think im just not the target audience. there were a couple of vignettes that pulled me more and i could relate to or understand even. i remember really really liking it the first time i read it so maybe i was more worldly in the eighth grade idk.
intriguing set of characters viewed and seen from the eyes of an even more intriguing and relatable character. Esperanza is special one and you can tell how real each of the things she goes through.
