When I was six, I bought my first book all on my own - it was this one, and I found it at the book fair at school.
When I was 18 I found a copy of it with a flashy yellow sticker saying I only had to pay 50¢ to take it home.
Ahem. I paid the 50¢. This story makes my heart happy.

I never read much of the Disney Fairies book series. In fact, I only read two out of three books of the Fairy Dust trilogy.
But god, did this book give me nostalgia! Thorpe managed to capture Pixie Hollow in this book perfectly! And I really appreciate the trip down memory lane. I feel like Thorpe's writing was similar to Gail Carlson Levine's, but also different too. Completely her own. I loved that. I also really empathized with Tink! Feeling her struggle, and her pain. I loved how she grew throughout the book. Going from scared, sad, and lost, to being fully confident in her talents, and herself. She also realized she didn't need Peter as much as she thought!
Another thing I loved about this book were the illustrations, all in full color. Beautiful and stunning, they redesign Tink and give her a new reincarnation. They also redesign a lot of the characters and settings, and I love how they make Pixie Hollow feel truly magical.
All I can say to this book is, thanks for taking me down memory lane, and letting me enjoy the world I had so loved as a child. I honestly cannot wait to read more books in this series! (I'll probably have to get them off of eBay though, but I don't mind!) Im definitely gonna read this one again, and not only keep it on my bookshelf, but also buy the other books in the series. What a wonderful and magical read!

I really liked this book. We are not only getting Peter Pan content but also some very nice scenes between Terence and Tink. I really adore their friendship! Very healthy and caring.
Here and there we got some miscommunication, a trope which isn‘t my cup of tea. But it wasn‘t too bothering. Overall I enjoyed it.
