I honestly expected this book to be a tad different, surely not as full of rancorous emotions and sexual content in some poetry. I would have enjoyed if the poems were in somewhat of an order

While I couldn't relate or understand a lot of the struggles of lusting for someone you shouldn't be with (as an autistic aroace and previously only ace person, it's hard to me NOT to distinguish sexual attraction from romantic attraction), I can see the beauty of the book as a whole and I would recommend it to a lot of people going through a harsh breakup.

Rating is based on my enjoyment and not a judgement of the work itself. I think Kaur is incredibly talented with flash poetry, and she started an entire genre of new poetry through this book. The public has spoken.
