Quotes:

“I like the way I feel about myself when I'm with him." I say quietly. "Warner thinks I'm strong and smart and capable and he actually values my opinion. He makes me feel like his equal--like I can accomplish just as much as he can, and more. And if I do something incredible, he's not even surprised. He expects it. He doesn't treat me like I'm some fragile little girl who needs to be protected all the time.”

“I’m not sure. But there’s something about the darkness, the stillness of this hour, I think, that creates a language of its own. There’s a strange kind of freedom in the dark; a terrifying vulnerability we allow ourselves at exactly the wrong moment, tricked by the darkness into thinking it will keep our secrets. We forget that the blackness is not a blanket; we forget that the sun will soon rise. But in the moment, at least, we feel brave enough to say things we’d never say in the light.”

“Water that never moves." I say to him. "Its fine for a little while. You can drink from it and it'll sustain you. But if it sits too long it goes bad. It grows stale. It becomes toxic." I shake my head. "I need waves. I need waterfalls. I want rushing currents.”

“Are you out of your goddamn mind? You think we can take on two hundred soldiers? I know I am an extremely attractive man, J, but I am not Bruce Lee.”
“Who’s Bruce Lee?”
“Who’s Bruce Lee?” Kenji asks, horrified. “Oh my God. We can’t even be friends anymore.”
“Why? Was he a friend of yours?”
“You know what,” he says, “just stop. Just—I can’t even talk to you right now.”

“I promise myself then, in that moment, that I will hold him forever, just like this, until all the pain and torture and suffering is gone, until he's given a chance to live the kind of life where no one can wound him this deeply ever again.”

“I am going to MURDER YOU—”
“No,” he says, pointing at me as he shifts backward again. “Bad Juliette. You don’t like to kill people, remember? You’re against that, remember? You like to talk about feelings and rainbows—”

Review:
So like I have said in my previous reviews for Shatter Me and Unravel Me, how beautiful are these covers?!! I honestly think this is the best one out of them all. Did anyone else notice the bird in the eye? Can I just say I love Kenji!!! oh my gosh like I just want him to be my best friend! I got so angry with Adam in this book and I just completely lost hope in him getting back with Juliette and I completely fell for Warner. In shatter me I really didn't like him, Unravel me turned me to start liking him and now oh my. Some of things that Adam did and said left me gasping in shock and I was so surprised. All the characters in this final instalment had really good character development and the writing was oh so incredible as ever. Like Tahereh stop being so talented! haha just kidding.

Who thinks that it would be really cool to have a book in Kenji's p.o.v because I am down for that.

This book made me laugh out loud, cry, be angry, sigh in relief and there were parts of the book that shattered me (haha get it, yeah I know that was dry). Tahereh wrapped up this series amazingly and I wouldn't want her to change anything, it was breathtakingly perfect. I can't wait for whatever project Tahereh has next in store. (Kenji book? haha)

Overall: If you have not picked up this series yet. please go do it now, I cannot believe I waited this long to pick it up but I am so glad that I didn't. I think this is in my top 5 favourite series now. It is that good.

Wow. Such a great conclusion to this trilogy.

I absolutely loved this book. The trilogy got better with every book and Ignite Me is definitely the best one.

The dystopian parts were more in the background (as already in the first two books) and the relationships and emotions were more important. I really enjoyed reading about these conflicts that were battling against each other in Juliette's head.

The character development was phenomenal. I didn't like Juliette's constant whining in Unravel Me. She just pitied herself and expected from everyone to feel sorry for her and to help her with everything. But in this book she somehow realized that it won't do her any good and she suddenly became so kick-ass that I couldn't help but admire this transformation, which didn't seem rushed at all.
Adam got from lame to douchey, I couldn't stand him anymore at all.
Kenji was amazing. It was so much fun reading about his überconfidence and his jokes, it was hilarious. But he was not just fun, he was also a great friend to Juliette, which I liked about him.
And of course Warner. I loved him even more in this book. And all this sexual tension between him and Juliette drove me almost crazy. It was very well done.

The writing was so beautiful and there were a few quotes that just hit me because they were not just poetic but also to the point. I enjoyed reading this beautiful prose very, very much.

The ending itself was well done. It was kind of an open ending, which fit the story quite well. This was all in all a really great trilogy and I can't wait to read more by Tahereh Mafi (I hope there will be more of her writing soon!).
