This series is quickly turning into a favorite and a very binge-worthy series.
I am very to say I loved this book. I felt like things were finally being "finished" in a sense. Very well put together.
So far this book is my favorite. We finally learn more about who Toby is and I can't wait to see what else is in store for her. Although I do feel a little sorry for her, I swear she's knocked unconscious a lot.

I may take long breaks in the October Daye series, but I always go back. It’s like the good wine on my shelf. When I picked up Late Eclipses, I read it in 3 days.
There are some bleak parts, but the action and stakes kept me entertained. The book may close with one mystery solved, but some revelations opened a new can of worms. Toby’s work is not going unnoticed by the powers that be. We’re seeing the cracks in the fae power structures. Sylvester does everything he can to help Toby but also has to protect his kingdom. Not much romance, but I know it’s on the horizon. I’m already reading book five because this series is my cat nip. You must read these in order. They’re essential to understanding the romantic and political implications of each heroines actions. If you want to dive into an expanding fae universe, these won’t disappoint. Plus, it’s a decent alternative to The Dresden Files with a female heroine.

The best book of the series just yet.
What I genuinely love the most about it is the world building, a clever way to merge a Fae world into a modern San Francisco.
Just a really good urban fantasy that serves as a great buffer for more complicated reads.

5 stars. Chapter three is my favorite chapter. Sooo, Team Tybalt, everyone. Also, Amandine. Interesting. I can't wait to learn more about Toby's heritage. Eek! Onto book 5!

Damn, this book is still so good. Gotta love Toby, Tybalt, and the rest of the gang. Onto the next one! 5 stars as always.

I loved how hopeful the ending of this one was, despite the pain in parts of the story. There's some serious revelations about Toby's heritage in this one, and two thirds of progress notes are about Tybalt, because he (re)stole my heart, not that he'd ever let it go. Reread, remember? Anyway, he really proved how much he cares in this one, and so did Toby.

In the previous book, Luna entered my shitlist. Sylvester is also kind of on there for me. He cares, and usually comes through, and is basically Toby's dad in every way except blood, but dear God he puts a ridiculous amount of pressure on her. Additionally, his comment towards the end about pissed me off. I understand that Luna comes first for him, however.
I loved how this book had tons of great interaction, especially in the first two thirds, between Tybalt and Toby, and how much interaction Toby had with the rest of the regular cast. We also meet a couple of fun new characters. It's different from book three, which was overall darker and had Toby being more isolated; here she's surrounded by people who care quite a lot of the time, which I loved.
Overall, I thought that this was an excellent read: the plot was interesting and exciting, with things happening relating both to the events of this book as well as the series as a whole, the characters were fantastic, the love interests and the romantic interactions (please see: the first five chapters) were cute and squeal-inducing, and the writing was immersive and pretty. 5 stars! Worth the read.

Oh my God, they kissed! October and Tybalt kissed! And now they have to talk! Deep breath. My point is, my ship is sailing (I think). WHOOP!Reread 11/2/2018
