I enjoyed the majority of this book but the ending was just not it. The story is so short but somehow kind of dragged until something exciting happened. I was honestly hoping for more. When a big twist happened at the end, I was excited to see it all come together, but the explanation of what had occurred leading up to the events just wasn’t that great. Kind of a dumb ending in my opinion. Probably wouldn’t recommend

I really enjoyed the premise of this book: Bookstagram Influencers meeting for the first time. The whole strangers, but they're friends aspect of it really played well into this book.
I didn't so much guess the why, but I had a feeling about the who. I'm taking that as a win.
Guys, the WHY of it all is freaking nuts. Not only is it nuts, but it's kinda becoming a reality in the U.S. which is equally as terrifying.
I don't get political on my page at all ever, but I feel like one thing Bookstagram/Booktok/book community can come together and agree on is that banning books should never happen and dictating what people can/can't read or what genres is disgraceful and ridiculous. If you don't like the topic of a book, don't read it. You shouldn't ban it so no one can read it. Our community is all about "We listen and we don't judge," and "Don't yuck someone's yum."

I wanted to DNF this so bad but for whatever reason I kept going. I should have listened to myself. Book influencers meet up after years of knowing each other online. But all of the characters had zero personality except for what I call “Internet personality”—loud and obnoxious and a sounding board for all the other shit people on the internet talk about. Everyone was just the same person with a different name. As far as the story goes…I was bored out of my mind for most of it and the ending was lame. I get that a message was being conveyed or whatever, but it’s unrealistic for people to kill people because they read books.
