I loved, loved, loved the first 1/2 of this book, despite the plot not really converging until after that point. The worldbuilding in this is fantastic, and all the characters have great, distinct voices and take you different places in this cyberpunk future. But the changing narratives left me just wanting more of my favorite characters, and there's a long stretch in the book that's just people being intoxicated which is always kind of embarrassing (I guess in the 80s/90s everyone thought hackers were going to be just like rockstars). But it was a really fun read even with those sections and a kind of murky plot device/villain that felt like it could have either been blown up bigger, or more subtle, and been much more effective.
