Easily one of the best books I’ve ever read, there was such a sense of forgetting, being forgotten. Abandonment is a large theme and finding who you are. There’s a beautiful story of persevering despite your surroundings and helping others so they don’t experience the same pain you did. I found myself wanting to build up other women and wondering why we all feel against each other when we should help.

i loved the way this was written! going between first and third person was such a good choice for this story. it was full of complex emotions and the main character felt like a real person i could understand even not relating to the story itself. it was tastefully gruesome, not saying more than they had to to convey the worst parts

So dark and so many trigger warnings. An 18 year old girl tells the story of her capture, her torture, and how she helped many other young girls deal with their torture by the Gardener. Each girl branded with a butterfly tattoo and locked in the garden. 
I hate to use the word "enjoyed", but the read was captivating and kept me listening.
