أول عمَل قرأته لأستاذ جبَران ، وفيهِ تعرفَت علَى توجهَات ولمحاتَ تسهَل تصوير الكَاتبِ والآراء التَي يحمِلها ويشق بهَا طَرِيقه .
قصِة قصِيرَة سريعَة صَورت فيهَا الكَاتب فِيها نفسهِ وهو فِي عنفوانِ شبابهِ شَابًا طمُوحَا بأوهَام الحيَاة ومصائرهَا وفتَاة تكبُر بسنِة أو سنتَين أختَارها قلبهُ وانتسبَت لهَا نبضاتهُ خطفَهَا منهُ جشعُ الرجَالِ وتجبرهُم مرةً وخطفتهَا مرةً المنية هِي ورضيعهَا الذي كَاد أن يكُون تجسُدا يعِيد بعثَها مِن جدِيد كمَا يبعثُ نُور النهَار بعد أن يمتضحلَ الدجَى.
أمَا عن رأيي فيهِ ، فأنَا أنصحُ بهِ كبدَاية فِي عالمِ الأستاذ جبرَان كنبذِة لمَا يقدمهُ ويسوقهُ للقرَاء.

Tbh this might just be the most beautiful story I ever have the privilege of reading in my entire life. The fact that this is likely an autobiographical account of Gibran hurts so much more & my heart aches rn

Incredible writing paired with a tragic love story that despite it's short length, packed a huge punch and is definitely a book that I want to read again to annotate and mark down all my favorite quotes because oh my god, the WRITING was just stunning.
