I absolutely loved this book! Such a great story that kept me hooked until the end. Wonderful writing.
I received a free copy from StoryOrigin and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Found the book dragged in places and skimmed sections to get back to the main story. However, It did get me interested in the timeline it was set and in the mythical and religious references.

"The devils are among us, and they are laughing at us."
This is now the second medieval religious horror book I've read, who knew that was possible.
The atheist German Dietmar has been tasked with transporting a sacred relic from Jerusalem. With him are a group containing a Muslim, a Jew, and a Christian. Their journey is anything but smooth, and hell itself seems to be standing in their way.
This was really dark and scary. This is such a specific genre but I think anyone that likes historical or religious horror would find this entertaining.
I did receive a copy of this book directly from the author.
