Let the games begin.

In the newest installment of the Chloe Jackson, Sea Glass Saloon Mystery Series RUM AND CHOKE, our lead lady finds herself in the middle of some bartender games that she has been recruited for and is on the hunt with her friend for some
buried treasure.

Chloe Jackson bartender extraordinaire is about to take part in some pretty intense games. Bartender games that is. The competition is tough, and in some cases even deadly. When Chloe and her friend Ann stumble upon a dead body while looking for some of her families buried treasure.

Sherry Harris always brings an interesting story when Chloe Jackson is involved. I absolutely loved Rum and Choke. You get a beautiful setting, a fun and engaging story, and a mystery that keeps you thinking. Chloe Jackson is a fun protagonist. She brings humor and excitement to the stories and I can’t wait to see what her next adventure is going to be.

I really enjoy this series; the main character and the others that appear in every book are a great group. I sincerely hope there is a 5th book, and more.

Chloe participates in a bar back contest, and is around when a body is found. Perfect set-up to a good mystery.

Rum and Choke by Sherry Harris the 4th instalment in the "Chloe Jackson, Sea Glass Saloon Mystery" series. I loved it and couldn’t put it down, this is becoming one of my favourite series.

Local bartender Chloe Jackson’s search for treasure shores up the dead body of a contestant in the upcoming Panhandle Barback Games...

I found myself engrossed in the story and I love the setting of Emerald Cove, Florida panhandle. The way the author described it really makes me want to visit the area. Lots happening in this instalment as Chloe and Anne form a friendship, and Chloe enters the Barback Games!

I could picture myself sitting in Chloe’s screened in porch with a sweet tea and a good book or running along the beach.

The mystery and side story of sunken treasure had just enough suspects, red herrings, and twists and turns to keep you guessing till the end. I found it to be a fun fast read. I am looking forward to seeing what is next for Chloe and Rip…

I highly recommend this series to all my cozy loving friends.

I requested and received an Advance Reader Copy of this book from Kensington Books and NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my OWN

This is the 4th book in the Sea Glass Saloon series. I love these books. The characters are great and the writing draws you in and makes you want to keep reading and not put the book down! In the previous three books we have learned a lot about Chloe and her history, but Ann has always remained mysterious. This was a deep dive in to Ann's background and she was much more involved in this book.

Chloe is training for a barback competition, where she has to do all kinds of physical activities that are related to being a bartender. As part of her training, Chloe does recon by checking out the competition at the other bars. While all of this is going on, Ann asks her to come along on a pirate treasure hunt and Chloe just can't say no! When one of the barback competitors dies, Chloe can't help be wonder if it's tied to Ann's treasure hunting expedition.

I really enjoyed learning more about Ann and seeing Chloe's relationships grow.

Love Sherry Harris and this series. I feel like I'm at the beach working and solving mysteries right along with the characters.
