Book 4 of 5 in the Malloreon series. This book picks up the pacing leading into the finale of this series. I have not loved Eddings books but they are not terrible. It is simple and somewhat dated fantasy. Though the characters don't have very much depth they are enjoyable and fun for the most part.

I enjoyed this book. The ending is one of my favorite of the series, and I'm glad that this "endless quest" is making some progress and that it will all come together next book. I forgot how much the books tend to blend together in the Mallorean, though. There are a few issues that bother me, but I have strong nostalgia for the series that I can look past them.

Zandramas has started trying to circumvent the Prophecy but it isn't working out well for her, Belgarion is still only a couple of days behind her.
Garion and his group stumble across demon births, armies, possession and they have to try and dodge Zakath who's trying to catch them again.
As much as I loved these when I was young I'm not really loving my rereads.
