I enjoyed Bowen's first thriller last year and was excited to see how her new thriller will do. Dying to meet you was fully met my expectation as a thriller that keeps you guessing and the mansion adds a creepy factor.
There's so many layers of complexity in the story with Rowan and her ex-boyfriend, her relationship with her daughter and ex- husband. Add in her work with renovating a wealthy family mansion, we got a solid story.
There is a wide cast of narrators (Kathleen Early; Caitlin Kelly; Sarah Mollo-Christensen) which made the POV easily to follow. I was fully vested in the story.
Thank you @bibliolifestyle @harperaudio for a copy of this book.

I think this book had a lot of potential, but I believe the coincidences written into the story were too much. Additionally, I wasn't sure that I was following the timeline accurately when the story of the young girl being secretary to the boss was presented.
In this novel, Rowan is a single mom and an architect who is restoring a mansion for a wealthy and influential family. When her former boyfriend is found dead, she is considered a suspect, since she was stalking his movements. However, she is innocent, and she has to prove it. As she dives into the mystery around his death, she discovers that her ex was looking into her past. She wonders why and that leads her into a dangerous situation that involves her livelihood. Secrets of the house and its dark history come to the forefront in this twisted novel.

I feel like they actually did a great job with the legal issues and pushiness of police. I don’t think the judge should’ve granted the warrant they got, but it also felt realistic that they would find someone who would. I was a little disappointed in the big reveal, but overall it was well done.
3.5 Stars
This started off a bit slow but I think it was needed to understand the characters a bit better. It was obvious from the beginning that Coralie’s POV was set in a different time period and I do wish we got a bit more of her story after she told her boss her situation (and what she was alluding to when she spoke about her past secrets). I was not a fan of Natalie and her POV at all, and I had to remind that she’s a teenager and doesn’t yet have the maturity to understand and be grateful for the sacrifices her mom had to make for her. I didn’t see the end reveal coming at all (maybe like Rowan, I’m too trusting bc I was shocked lol) though I wouldn’t have minded a bit more background to what led that character down that path.

4.5⭐️ Such a good thriller! It had me guessing who was the murderer up until the very end! It kept me hooked and interested throughout it all. There were so many different perspectives and twists but the author did a wonderful job weaving them together. I’d definitely recommend this book!
