It's been awhile since I've read any Terry Prachett and oh my god I missed this sense of humour!! I forgot just how witty and observational his writing is. Not my favourite of his but still a very good time! I love the musical references throughout 😄

I don't love the Diskworld books that are retelling of other stories as much. Still some very funny bits though. I do like when Death shows up. The bit with him and Granny squaring off was great.
The whodunit plot was good enough as well.
End of the audiobook messed up so I missed the last 20 minutes or so, but the story was wrapped up by then anyway.

A wonderfully fun Discworld book. Perhaps not as philosophical as some of the others, but a romp! Opera, musical theatre, jabs at Phantom and Cats (along with a healthy dose of Greebo), what's not to enjoy? And I do always love a bit of Granny Weatherwax and Nanny Ogg.
Hysterical send up of the phantom of the opera, musicals, and the theatre in general. A very good Witch book and just an excellent time.
This was one of the weakest of the Pratchett books I've read so far. The storytelling is fine, but I don't think I needed a Phantom Of The Opera parody set in Discworld for an entire book.
The premise of the witches looking for a new third should have been more fun, or could have been cut down to a novella. This story kept dragging on, and none of the jokes really landed for me.
When I first read a random assortment of Pratchett books twenty years ago, I thought I didn't like the witch books, and I'm wondering if reading this volume was one of the reasons why. Because on this massive reread, I do love the characters, and felt they were wildly underutilized here.
It's still ok. But I'm pleased to move on to the next book.

Discworld does Phantom of the Opera! What's not to love!
Probably my favourite Witches book yet.
