I’m full blown Annie Wilkes when it comes to Rachel Harrison. Ok, maybe without the mallet/axe and what not but I sure am a huge fan!! And I think Black Sheep has just taken top spot as my favourite book of hers! I DEVOURED this, ate up every last delicious and wicked word in these pages!! As an estranged black sheep myself, I really empathised with Vesper battling against a family who want you to fail unless you conform to their bidding and of course I loved the ending and the message contained within. I have read some reviews which mentioned this book felt a little too weird but it’s was absolutely my kind of weird and I really enjoy the authors tongue in cheek and cynical humour that always trickles through in her storytelling. I did have an awakening moment though as I realised that’s Constance’s house IS my house
