Celestial Monsters” by Aiden Thomas is a perfect continuation of “The Sunbearer Trials.”

The addition of Xio's point of view brought a fresh and exciting perspective that added depth to the story.

I was completely captivated from beginning to end, and I truly did not want this book to end

I love this world and concept and the messages included. I missed the competition aspect from the first book but they had so many action sequences following their path. It did feel a bit repetitive like boxes being checked on their journey.

Also this may have just been my mood or the fact I primarily listened to the second half but YA-esque dialogue grated on me a bit. It reminded me a lot of TJ Klune’s The Extraordinaries dialogue which felt out of place in this fantasy realm.
