I’m actually mad I paid $4 for this.

It started off kind of cute and funny but it went downhill so fast for me. I honestly only finished it because I paid money for it. There are parts of the story that are brought up and then never explained.

The main characters are not developed or relatable at all. Jagger is a jerk and Magnolia acts like a child. And that ending was just silly! It felt very, very rushed.

Jane was honestly the only character I liked!

I enjoyed reading this book. I thought it had it's funny moments, sappy moments, and plenty of other moments. I liked the chemistry between the characters too. I really have been enjoying reading this series. I am glad they all standalone because I ended up reading them out of order without even realizing it. I like that the two main characters had a history. There were secrets that should have never been secrets but I can understand why they were at the time. I couldn't rate a 5 though because of the secrets that were kept. I liked that the main characters knew each other pretty much all their lives so this was not an insta-love story. The plot is interesting and moves along at a steady pace. I would recommend this book and series to others.

This is a new to me author but the blurb caught my attention as well as that gorgeous cover! This book was hilarious and romantic and complicated... but I loved every minute! Jagger was so gross to me in the beginning and I wasn't sure what they were playing at but they grew on me for sure. Excited for more!

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Read the description and a sample. Thought it would be an awesome read but I kinda hated the main characters. There wasn't much a liked about either one of them. The stuff that happened when they were 18 and 20 was a huge turn off and it didn't get better.

There were a few funny bits, but not enough to make up for the rest of the book. I was hoping our hero wasn’t the hero because of how immature he was. He’s supposed to be 30 & a millionaire, but he turns everything the heroine says into a sex joke. It was like he was 14 & just discovered a new use for his penis.

The story felt rushed & I could not get a sense of who the characters were or what they were supposed to look like. The epilogue was a mess. The author tried to show some growth for the male lead in the last few chapters, but ruined it with the epilogue. It was from his point of view & showed just how shallow he was.

Fun read. Jagger, AKA Rude Guy, keeps leaving notes on Magnolia's door to torment her. She has enough on her plate with a new job and all, yet she can't stop herself from responding to the notes. When they finally cross paths and meet in person, her world stops. He isn't just some random stranger... he is her long time crush. The characters are both fun and likeable, though sometimes he comes off as a bit of an arrogant bastard with the things he says. His character is a little hot and cold. He'll act charming and say sweet things one minute, then a little later he'll go back into that jerk mode. She has a past with him that left a bad taste in her mouth, though not really his fault, but something that makes her want to keep pushing him away. Neither one perfect, both having made mistakes and done things they wished they could undo. We get an intro into the characters who are featured in future books in the series, which is always nice. There is sexual content that is suitable for mature readers. It is written from her POV. It is a quick and easy read.

It was okay and parts made me laugh but some other parts seemed weird and didn’t flow well for me.
