Mi primera decepción del año. Al principio me estaba atrapando y cuando los protagonistas se conocieron se me fue bajando el hype. Dicen cosas sin sentido, en ningún momento me resultó creíble su "romance”. Era imposible soportar a Dante con su constante actitud posesiva. No tenía ningún interés por lo que les pasaba y se trató de meter una especie de thriller que para nada
The love story here is with a bad boy and an innocent girl. Yes, there is a HEA. The mystery part of this novel is what kept me reading. There is a lot of smut with a good solid story line. Both mmc and fmc were likable and have good back stories.

JS Scott had definitely got a fan in me. I loved the other series that segues into this series. The Sinclairs got me and I want more. If you know Hope Sinclair, then you need to read this series. My mom started reading this series while I was reading the other and we started talking about Hope and that's when I found out they were connected. Her love scenes are always top notch and her characters make you want to meet them. Think she still needs a little help with editing. There are a few typos but only a few. I have definitely seen worse.
Dante Sinclair. Homicide detective on leave for getting shot and he goes home to Amesport, Maine to recover. Meets Dr. Sarah Baxter and falls instantly in lust, later to love, with her. He's dominant, protective, and possessive from the start. I liked his character and the way he treated Sarah. He looks at no other woman but Sarah.
Dr. Sarah Baxter. Genius IQ, socially awkward, naive and a recent stabbing victim. Sarah is a very sweet heroine. She's not had much dating interaction so Dante opens new doors for her. Things spice up when her attacker comes back into the picture.
Side characters are mostly Dante's brothers and Sarah's two friends, one a wife of one of Dante's brother. Smaller side characters involve Sarah's interfering mother, nosy older woman who writes for the paper and Sarah's dog.
I borrowed the audiobook on Kindle Unlimited. The narrator is one I have enjoyed in the past and she was just as good in this one as well. I enjoyed the book. My only negatives were that Sarah was just too naive for a 27 year old and I also struggled with how much these two were in their head. it is nice to know what a character is thinking but I also wish there was less of it.

This book was honestly so annoying. Everything was predictable, foreshadowing was amateur. The story is just incredibly shallow. If you're looking for mommy porn, you've found it. If you're looking for real literature, look elsewhere.

La historia de Dante y Sarah se lee rapidísimo y sirve para mostrar lo intensos que pueden llegar a ser los hermanos Sinclair. Tengo muchas ganas de ir conociendo al resto.

Sarah missed out on a childhood, which Dante tries to recapture with her.
