First , I want to thank Cora Crane and booksirens for an opportunity to read this!

I read a lot of dark books, and let me tell you, this was a fun, absolutely enjoyable read.

Mariah has some deep past wounds from her high school bully, Thorak. Issues at Mariah's Moonflower inn and Thorak's desire to spread his ales to the human lands result in an adorably fake engagement....

I appreciated the slight tones of prejudice and realization that even in opposing views, it can change. Cora Crane has absolutely created a cozy, enchanting world in Elderberry Falls. I look forward to reading more of her work.

My opinions are my own, but I highly recommend this book if you're looking for a sweet and cozy monster romance.

This book was a little too "cozy" for me. Cozy to the point it lacked any depth or really anything.
The characters were flat, the story was dry. Next to no world building and worst of all the sex scene were boring.
The bit of the characters and world building we did get didn't even make sense.

Especially when it came to the conflict that Thorak had with his parents. They wanted him to be with his ex, a Giant. They really liked her and had no issues with them being different species but with Mariah, they were concerned about orc tradition and what not. Both are interspecies relationships, so a Giant wouldn't know orc tradition either.

It did have good bones though, I think with a different writer it could've been a good story, but unfortunately Cora Crane seems to value "cozy" story telling over actual craftsmanship, which leads her to delivering the most generic, formulaic story I've ever read.

Pretty cute. Will definitely read again. Could have used some more edditting. A few places the characters magicly teliport what they are doing or forget what they just said. But super cute.

It was alright. The dialogue was a bit stiff and idealistic. I didn't really feel the chemistry between the main characters as I was reading. The story was light and cute, though there were some themes of bullying and racism.

2.5! This was a cute, quick read. The setting was charming and the characters were lovable if a little one dimensional.

I found the writing clunky at times and often pretty repetitive. But overall I did enjoy it!
