An overly saccharine bully romance. I think there were great elements with lots of potential, but the sweet parts were sickly sweet and the last 40% of the book fell flat for me in terms of character development or plot.

I enjoyed this cozy tale as a quick pallet cleanser! While I expect cozy fantasy to be short and sweet, this could've used a little more fleshing out to even the pacing just a tiiiiiiny bit more.

I really loved the fake dating, enemies/bully to lovers-type romance that went on here. I'm not a big bully romance fan, but I liked seeing the remorse and wouldn't have minded seeing a little bit more of that and learning more about how and why the former bully had changed.

All in all, a solid start to this series. I would not mind coming back to this series the next time that I need a quick cozy escape!

It could have been better. I am giving it 2 stars instead of 3 because it did feel like a bit of a chore to finish.

The idea of the world was very interesting but barely developed. The romance was meh. I feel like it needed more time.

The sexy scenes were a bit cringe since they were using it to apologize, so they are literally just chanting a litany of "Sorry" during the whole act.

The issue and resolution was not very satisfying.

It is a short read, and it does give fall vives. So if you are looking for a cozy fantasy that has some spice in it, then give this a try.
