“His mom always insisted that being your own self was better than being a self other people wanted you to be.”

Camp Creepy is probably my favorite book in the series so far!! It's set at Camp Creek, a summer camp for kids that promises them the perfect experience! At first glance it sounds like lots of fun with many exciting activities and beautiful surroundings. However, Theo and Alex quickly start to notice strange things, such as the sense of conformity and how people change once they visit one of the counsellors. I liked that the book dealt with identity and feeling comfortable with yourself. Alex often feels like he should be more outgoing like his sister and doesn't know if changing himself would be better. I also liked that Theo is the one who has to be more careful in this book, when Alex gets swept up in camp and starts to completely change!
