1) Ascanio is fucking awesome, he's my favorite sidekick. More, I say!
2) I love Andrea & Raphael.
3) This book made me laugh out loud. I never laugh out loud whilst reading. Ilona Andrews are magic.
This was my favorite novel in the Kate Daniels world so far? I. know. Everyone is side eyeing me really hard right now. But this just pressed all of my buttons in the those-buttons season at those-buttons o'clock.
I'm completely in love with this.

I wasn't sure how I'd feel about this book, considering it's in the Kate World, but not about Kate, but I have to say, I really loved it! It was very well done and stuck to the world fantastically!

Gunmetal Magic was a 3.5 star read for me. I enjoyed getting more in depth information on Andrea and Raphael but I just didn't get into the story as much as I do with Kate and Curran. I listed to the audio book version of this book.
Eleventy billion stars for Roman and his Eeyore jammies, but 3 stars for the rest.
Andrea, while no Kate Daniels (BUT THEN AGAIN WHO IS), is extremely likeable. The same can't be said for... I want to say Raoul? Or maybe it's Ra's al Ghul? Whatever his name is, Andrea's paramour, I'm less of a fan. So having a whole book centring him in a romantic subplot wasn't my favourite thing.
