Gunmetal Magic on Books On Track

Update: Re-read: 31 Aug 2018:

Andrea finally makes peace with who she is and finds her place in the world, as well as her happily ever after.

Enjoyable story, that showed us a different side of favorite characters. There is a deleted epilogue for this book that comes next, Andrea and Raphael's Wedding.

Another great addition to an awesome series. Andrea may not have Kate's special brand of kick-ass toughness, but she's got loads of her own.

In the beginning of the book she finds herself left behind. The love of her life seems to have moved on while she was trying to fix parts of her broken self and she is stuck somewhere between unable to make peace with who she is and unable to keep pretending. After a traumatic experience she snaps and finally decides to stop dragging her feet. I found that I really liked the new and improved Andrea.

The chemistry between the characters is intense, the tension palpable and their interractions real. I especially liked her moments with Kate and seeing our favorite characters through her eyes.

Andrea and Raphael make a great couple and I enjoyed reading their story and their turn to save the world.

Ascanio and Roman are two of my new favorite characters in Kate's world and I'm really looking forward to reading more about them both.

I didn't quite like this as much as the main story line with Kate and Curran, but I didn't dislike it either. It shows a turning point and growth for Andrea's character and was nice to see.
