Cue Kasey Musgraves, “I'm alright with a slow burrrrrrreeerrrrerrn” Okay I wasn’t sure about this one halfway through, but it definitely picked up the pace in the last half. I was screaming at a particular character through a few chapters, and I had to even put down the book to remind myself this person’s character is NOT real, but boy was I upset.

This isn’t a typical thriller read where everything is unrealistic. In a (scary) way, some of these things could happen in real life. I think this book brings up a lot of really important issues we should address right away, even if they’re not always talked about.

Also, I never thought I would see the day where Red Bull could actually save a persons life... but hey, you will know what I’m getting at after you read this.

I loved the characters in this book! Their development and interactions were definitely a highlight, and I love St. John’s writing style. The backdrop of a film set in the Caribbean contrasts a MESSY crossing of paths mystery. I do wish the pacing of the book was more consistent, since it didn’t feel like anything significant happened until around 40-50% of the way through. I really enjoyed this read, and the ending was a wild ride! If you liked Evelyn Hugo, the vibes are similar but more intense.

This book is like watching a Netflix show. Once you start, you can’t stop until you’ve finished. It was SOOOO good!!

The Siren, starring Hollywood heartthrob Cole Power and his ex wife Stella Rivers. How will they work together again on screen years later after a nasty divorce in this highly anticipated film?

Taylor Wasserman will do anything to get a job. After multiple accusations at her previous employment get her fired, Taylor hasn’t been able to find work anywhere. When Cole Power’s offers her the job to produce his upcoming film The Siren, Taylor jumps on it without question. She’s desperate but also 6 weeks on an island in the Caribbean isn’t too bad either.

When Taylor gets there she immediately gets to work on making this film the best she can. Bur while working on the beach a curvy and gorgeous woman perched on the rocks in the water catches her eyes, and everyone else’s too. When she finds out she is Stella’s new assistant and meets her, something feels off but Taylor can’t put her finger on it.

As filming starts it seems like everyone is hiding something including Taylor herself. Tensions are rising on set and no one really trusts anyone. When a hurricane crashes on shore Stella, Taylor, and Felicity (Stella’s assistant) and trapped but united under a common enemy.

What the heck is everyone hiding? Who knows what? And why does something feel off about Felicity? Find out in The Siren.

Katherine St John killed it again. I could NOT out this book down. I’m currently writing this review at 3am because I had to stay up to finish it. HIGHLY recommend you preorder it ASAP!
