I could not put this book down!

Some of the worst writing I've seen in a while. I'm hoping this was written by some hammered ghost writer. Clunky, force-fed exposition at every turn. Awful dialogue. POV violations. Odd sentences. Plot was intriguing at first, but could not carry the weight of the terrible dialogue. I cannot stress how bad the dialogue in particular was. Dialogue is supposed to be used effectively and propel the story forward. This dragged the whole story into the trash bin. Zero craft techniques used.

Overall I'm really disappointed. I’ve enjoyed work by Lisa Jackson in the past, but this isn’t it. First DNF of the year.

I liked the premise of this story but overall I really did not enjoy this book. I struggled to get through it. It was a lot of work… for not much payoff. I felt it was redundant and could have been a lot shorter than it was. The twist was very anticlimactic in my opinion.

Whoa! Talk about a twisty thriller! I absolutely loved this book, and it took place in the state I live in, which made it even better.

between 3 and 3.5 stars; this one was alright. the premise was definitely interesting and i enjoyed how the whodunnit unraveled, though it felt a bit more contrived than organic. the main character was hard to take at times, but i suppose was a good representation of what one would be like if they were constantly paranoid and had been deeply traumatized at a really young age.
