Seriously a wild ride.  It was a nicely written twisted thriller that left me saying: “just one more chapter.”  The first part is a little slow to start, giving time to learn about the characters and a little about Niveus.  However, part two and three are where things get a bit more into the twists.  I loved all the Gossip Girls and Pretty Little Liars vibes that it had.  The ending and epilogue were good as well, seeing Chiamaka and Devon have a happy ending even after everything that happened.  Really good and I’m kinda glad I went into it knowing nothing about it, it made it all the more better.

Basically Pretty Little Liars but with white suprematism cult and hardcore racial bullying.

This book was a great listen! It was a riveting mystery and had many dark twists and turns with high stakes for the characters. There were many topics to be explored for each character's background and desires. Though they may not be the most likeable characters, they felt very realistic in their motivations and agency. The author brought up many important real-world topics that were resolved in a way that left more to be thought over in the reader's mind.

This was a spectacular book to listen to on audiobook. The suspense and narration was just beyond mind blowing.

I loved how the Gossip Girl and V for Vendetta vibes blended together seamlessly to make for an incredibly dramatic story with so much suspense and intrigue. I loved the two main characters and their slow build of friendship as they realise why they're the targets of an anonymous bully.

I loved how well the story deconstructed the romanticised aspects of dark academia. It brought forth the sinister roots of the genre that stem from elitism and racism.

I also loved the ending and the reveal. It was sad yet such a moment of vindication. LOVE

This book is even more thrilling than Gossip Girl, especially as you reach part 3. The writing style was simple, making it an easy and accessible book (and an even better book to listen to in audio format).
