The best part of this book was when it was taking place in South Jersey (southern New Jersey, USA) because the author captured it so perfectly!!!

The first book blew my mind, and made me extremely anxious to read this one. And though I think it is great! I have to admit I didn't finish it in one go, in fact I had a pause of over a year in between.

That was mostly because I didn't have the brain space for it. This is a story that always goes full speed ahead, never giving you time to breathe, which takes you in and drags you along hut also means you have to be available to deal with that.

I loved everyone in this book, but Maya is and always will be my love and is the reason I kept going.

I think this book proofs that scifi can take place in our time and our world. Things don't have to be alien to teach us something about ourselves. And things don't have to be exactly like us either.

I don't know if hopeful dystopian fiction was a genre that existed before Han wrote AART but with this book he certainly cemented it.
