I enjoyed this book. It isn’t a book I would have normally picked up because I like to read fantasy. But my book club picked it for the month so here we are. :)
I was having trouble getting into the physical book because my brain was giving everyone English and Indian accents so it was slowing me down. Haha but then I found the audiobook and liked it a lot more. I thought it was a really cool way to show readers that it doesn’t matter what stage of life you’re in, everyone has desires and deserves to be able to express them. Very well done.

A very engaging book which was so well crafted and did a fabulous job of mixing genres. Very happy someone suggested this for our book group because I feel there is much to discuss.

I mean, it was good. It just missed depth and the mystery aspect was not present at the start but revealed way to quick near the end. I didn't feel any build up or panic or anything that makes you want to pick up a mystery book.

This book came highly recommended in an online book group—for good reason. It was unexpected, powerful, and an absolute pleasure to read! I don’t want to spoil any of it for you, but the writing is magical and you’ll want to read and savor it yourself.

This was such a pleasant surprise! I loved this story, how deep it got at times, how sinister it got at other times, and I was shocked at how dirty some of those stories were lol. I thought all of the issues that these Punjabi women face were realistic and portrayed in a respectful and modern way. The conflict between women's rights and old men conservative ways is very relatable. All of the characters brought a point of view (some young, some older, some widows, some single, etc) that made for a refreshing pace of the story. This story was also funny which I think I knew, but was still surprised at how funny I found some parts. I highly recommend for anyone that just wants a fun, refreshing, warm (and super sex positive) book to read.
