I did not find this book to be believable in the slightest.
The plot devices used by the author seemed to be implemented only as a mean of eliciting strong emotions, yet without any reasoning behind them whatsoever. There was only a singular moment at the beginning when I considered the relationship between Archer and Bree to be promising. However, the further it developed, the more frustrated I grew. The characters were simply not fleshed out enough to be realistic, as they possessed no actual personality traits besides poorly portrayed trauma and feelings of insta-love towards each other. Both characters' behavior and backstory also proved to be utterly unconvincing, which ultimately led me to feeling disconnected from the story. The plot in itself had a sense of repetitiveness to it and seemed to follow a recurring pattern that I failed to overlook, as it was displayed in every other chapter. Overall, not a great time.
