I would like to join Owl in being Aeduan and Iseult’s adopted child haha. They are definitely my favorite characters in this series and it was fun getting to know Aeduan a little better. I’m excited to see where the story goes.

I am keeping it pretty quiet in my day-to-day life and interactions, but this series is pretty much all I want to talk about now.

This book has everything: best friends who are willing to risk everything for one another; a slow-burn romance that doesn't make me want to throw up; a cast of complex characters that are full of surprises and diverse in every sense of the word; a fantasy setting so rich and vibrant that I genuinely wish I could live there; prose that only gets more striking from book to book; a strong, nuanced theme of generational distance and discord.... Susan Dennard is doing everything right. With no more Witchlands books in my possession, I had a very hard time deciding what to read next!

I received an advance copy of this book and this just might be the best thing I read all year. All the threads that have been woven to this story are finally coming together in this book. This is the best book Susan Dennard has written, it's a compulsive read filled with a-ha moments as parts of the story and the world start to click together. The chemistry between Iseult and Aeduan will set the pages of your book on fire, it is that good. The world of the Witchlands is also expanded upon in this book and you truly begin to wonder how this whole world can fit in someone's head. The end of this book will have you screaming and wishing you already had the next in your hand.

Let just say I love my man Aeduan. He is MINE and that ending was not what I was expecting but I have the next book and my life is looking up. Iseult and Safi have met again, so excited!
