It's actually a really good mafia romance book. The Rya and Crue are basically the same person but on opposite ends of each other. The world the authors created and the supporting characters just felt so natural. Normally I hate the best friend character cause they're written so poorly, Angel, Dominic, and even Dawson were developed characters, voices of reason, and human when it came to Rya and Crue's constant back and forth. The slight twist at the end, chef's kiss.
If you're looking for something quick to read, highly suggest this.

This isn't a book I would normally pick but I read it to join in with one of my book clubs.

Unfortunately, this book is pretty monotonous. Crue makes an outrageous demand/does something mob bossy, Rya tells him to shove it, they fight and wind up having spicy hate sex. And they do this dance over and over again... and again... and again. Until the unthinkable happens...

He decides to marry her sister because he MUST marry a Ricci and Rya gets jealous, and suddenly realizes she loves him.

I felt that parts of this were super unrealistic, like how Rya suddenly changes her mind about things she was deathly adamant about, just because it's Crue, who she barely knows.

Definitely not my style.

This a good mafia romance with a morally grey obsessed Crue and a strong / sassy Rya.
The story and the plot are quite classic but it does the job.

- ennemies to lover
- italian mafia boss / independent mafia princess
- spice 🌶️🌶️.5/5
