It has been a while since I've read a contemporary book so when I read the first chapter I wasn't sure I'd enjoy it too much, but as I read more I couldn't put it down, there was always an intensity to it that made me want to keep reading, the characters were all complex and I had a range of emotions for each of them. Because of this book I want to look at more contemporaries and look forward to the next book Capes writes.
