I wasn't sure where to rank this. But upon reflection, the world-building in the text had me gripped from start to finish. A dystopia that I could not grasp and craved to understand more about. Through the lens of a married couple, the novel explores unity, loyalty, hope and self-preservation. In these lines ju, there is revealed just as much in what is said, as in what is left out.

Wordy, annoying, and self-satisfied. I wasn't moved to care about any of the characters and the plot was unfulfilling. 2nd star awarded because some of the ideas were good, but never properly explored.
