I don't know what to do with this book. There were some lovely summer images and stark poetic language and even a few funny moments, but it also had incest and some soap opera drama. I guess I'm not that used to Japanese writing, but I did feel compelled to annotate the shit out of it. So, I'm glad I read it, but I'm not sure I'd recommend it.

Absoluta pérdida de tiempo. La culpa es mía por empeñarme en leer a esta autora cuando todas sus obras me parecen simplistas, con personajes planos y repetitivos. No hay historia que desarollar y, por lo tanto, al terminar, te quedas igual que estabas al principio.

Viele lose fäden die nicht verbunden, aber ein bisschen sortiert werden. Spannende Charaktere, die alle irgendwie mysteriös und distanziert bleiben und leider nicht mehr Sinn im Laufe des Buches bekommen, mit Ausnahme von Sui. Irgendwie passt es auch so. Aber ein bisschen frustrierend, was am Ende alles offen gelassen und nicht mehr thematisiert wird.
