I think that was the best volume yet. We still have the silly humor with Aida and Hashimoto, but the relationship between Aoki and Ida is taking off in earnest. I like how awkward they are as they both explore dating as well as their own discovery of this new aspect of their sexuality. Ida in particular has gone from being a cipher to having more internality and agency.

Not my favorite of the series so far.

I wasn't a huge fan of the beginning of this volume. It seemed weirdly out of place and unnecessary, I guess? I think it was meant to make Ida finally realize his feelings, but Aoki's reactions seemed odd. I think why he was mad made sense, but the way it was portrayed just felt strange. I can't quite explain it, but I didn't like it. It was too childish maybe. Once the story got over that bump though, I started to enjoy it. I really just want to see them get closer!

I feel like I read a different volume because this didn't feel as annoying as I remember it. Aoki's reactions were still pretty over the top, but it didn't bother me as much I guess. I think I understood where he was coming from more this time, but he just handles it so weird. I guess he's a high schooler so he's not meant to be the most communicative or emotionally intelligent person. I hope that he does grow up and become more mature as the series goes on though. The whole volume was goofy and I flew through it pretty quick. I'm still feeling like this series is reading too young for my personal taste, but it's fine. It's fun for the most part.

5/5 estrellas

I laughed out loud at least 3 times at the silly faces these kids make. <3
