The progress slowed down a little bit in this volume, but I think it ended on a pretty good note. Aoki’s uncertainty about Ida’s feelings for him were questioned and reaffirmed by the end, so all is good. The events leading to that point felt a bit repetitive though.
Also shoutout to Ida’s friends that wholly congratulated him on his relationship with Aoki. Aoki’s fears about being shunned for being queer are valid, but I do appreciate the fact that in this case with the volleyball team, he had nothing to worry about. This manga does a good job of presenting supportive lgbtqia situations without trying too hard, and I adore that about it.
